JOIN US

We are always looking for new salty stalls to join our incredible community. We often have a waitlist of 400+ stalls for our events, but don't let that deter you! Our passion is supporting values-aligned, local salty entrepreneurs and start-ups that are committed to doing good in the world. If we believe you're a fit for our event, we will do everything we can to support you in having a stall at our markets (even if you've never done a market stall before in your life!).

CRITERIA

We spend an enormous amount of time and energy choosing our stall holders. All our stall holders are of extremely high quality, have a unique salty offering and strive to create positive impact. We give priority to stalls that are:

surf & ocean themed,

handmade, ethical & sustainable,

values-aligned,

and local!

If you meet all (or most) of the criteria, we encourage you to apply!

WAITLIST

& UNSUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS

Choosing our stall holders is like a complicated game of chess. We try to balance bringing in new stalls with loyalty to our regulars. We try to balance everyone's different availability. We work hard to ensure we only have 1-2 of similar style stalls so our stall holders get maximum impact. And, ultimately, we try to make sure we get the right balance to achieve the right vibe.

Please note that due to the sheer number of applications we receive, we do not notify applicants if they have been unsuccessful. Please don't be disheartened if you don't get a stall - we assure you it was a tough decision. We put all applicants into categories on our waitlist, and if we have a similar stall cancel for unforeseen reasons (trust us, it happens!) then you'll be the first person we call.

PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE

It is a requirement of this event that all stall holders, musicians, entertainers, contractors and other affiliates have their own Public Liability Insurance. If you do not have this, you can purchase once-off or short-term market stall insurance from various insurance providers. You do not need to purchase this to apply, however you will need it if your application is accepted prior to commencement of the market. If you require assistance or suffer from financial hardship, please get in touch and we'll see how we can help.

Registrations for our SUMMER 2019-2020 will open in September 2019.

We love to learn more about local salty stalls so we can plan each season ahead a bit!

NOTE: we primarily use your social media to assess your offering, branding, ethos, etc, to see if you'll be a good fit. If your social media does not reflect your offering, then the onus is on you to please follow up with an email to summerxsalt@gmail.com attaching photos and more details. We will not follow up with stall holders who have not given us sufficient detail to make a decision about their stall/ offering. The more detail you can give us the better.
